Taking care of yourself post-election in community
November 4, 2020

As we wait for EVERY single vote to be counted, we gotta make sure we are taking care of our bodies and energies.

Mi gente this week has been exhausting and we’re not even halfway through. As we wait for EVERY single vote to be counted, we gotta make sure we are taking care of our bodies and energies. Make sure you are drinking water, checking in with loved ones, not looking at the projected results every five minutes, and definitely getting some sleep in.

No matter who wins we remember that we must continue organizing against all the systems that harm and kill us. Let’s bring this same energy to continuing to work together towards a world free of white supremacy, lesbihomophophobia, transphobia and classism. We’ve gathered some wellness offerings post-election day to be in community, to process together and breathe together and continue our commitment to the survival and thrive of our most vulnerable communities.
